When Solarpunk was making it's start, one of the suggestions for it's aesthetic was art nouveau, so I thought I would explain the style a bit in case it interests you.

Art nouveau is a nature-inspired style that is a colorful and curvy rebellion.

"Art Nouveau was inspired by all the fluid forms of nature."

Robert Couturie

As well as having a nature inspiration, it also has a splash of "going against the norms of society."

Fairly popular between 1890 and 1910, art nouveau was a rebellion against architects like Adolf Loos, who were promoting the pale and blocky designs that are common today.

For example, here is one of Adolf Loos(modernist, left) designs next to one by Louis Majorelle(art neuveau, right). I tried to pick two buildings of similar color so you can see the design differences easier.

Art nouveau also ended up inspiring environmentalist architects, such as Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

one time a casual hockey fan tried to convey this experience to me from the other side as: "it's like... okay, imagine that you like donuts, and you meet a guy who also likes donuts, and you're like, hey, cool, we both like donuts! but this guy... he built his house out of donuts"

so now when I trip into a new fandom I'm like "oh shit I'm building this house out of donuts"

we literally need more and better feminism

wormhour

we need ugly gross disgusting feminism again without conforming to aesthetics and advertisement companies i want pit hair i want leg hair i want weird haircuts i want to get rid of diet culture and ads for pink razors and make-up i want women to reject biological determinism and push away from the overwhelming tradwife narratives that social media feeds everyone ('natural hormone cycles' and 'divine feminine' and all of that shit) etc. i want more women working i want heterosexual relationships to get more balanced i also want it to be a norm for heterosexual couples to assess role assignments in the relationships and think critically about why they want children i want having children not to be something people just do because it is expected of them. I want a dyke for president. Etcetera

I reprogrammed the sex robot to start killing btw

girldong

Well I reprogrammed the killing robot to start sexing. So

foone

Fun fact: this happens in the Sam Raimi show Cleopatra 2525.

It's set in a post apocalyptic world where robots took over the world, but humans live in underground mineshafts. A "Betrayer" (basically a Terminator) is sent to kill the three protagonists, but they manage to defeat and disarm him. They then reprogram him to be a sex bot, like you do.

quasi-normalcy

I suspect that one day, The Crimes of Grindelwald will be of interest to scholars, if only as a case study in how a liberal author thinks that indoctrination into a right-wing hate group works right at around the time that she herself is actually being indoctrinated into a right-wing hate group.

quasi-normalcy

No, but literally; I think that a lot of Anglo-American liberals legitimately believe that perfectly nice, normal people became Nazis because they stumbled upon a Nazi rally one day and Hitler was so *intense* and *charismatic*, and everyone was *marching in unison*, and it was all so hypnotic that they had no choice but to start sieg-heiling and hating their Jewish neighbours.
